Can I request a change?
Yes! Any signee can request a change during the digital signing process. Where a signee selects the "Request Change" button, a text box will display, allowing them to specify any changes they would like to be made to the agreement.
How to request a change as the Lessor/Agent signee
Once all tenant signees have completed the digital signing process, the Lessor/Agent signee is then presented the opportunity to review and sign the agreement. At any point during the signing process, the signee is presented with the option to "Request change".
Please note that there is no ability for a signee to request a change to an agreement that they have already signed. However, a change can still be requested from any other signing party who is yet to complete the digital signing process.
Note ➞ Given that the terms of the agreement have changed, all signees will need to review and sign the updated agreement.
What happens if a tenant requests a change?
Once the change request is submitted by a tenant, an automatic email will be sent to all signing parties explaining that a change to the agreement has been requested. An additional email will also be sent to the agent receiving updates on the agreement, which will outline the requested changes from the tenant along with a link to edit the agreement.
Note ➞ Agreements can only be edited on a desktop.
